The cocotte, a traditional French cooking vessel, has been used and loved by star chefs and gourmets alike for centuries. But it can also fully meet the demands of modern cuisine: Vitamins and flavors are preserved, little fat is needed and healthy dishes are created with little effort. Like all STAUB cocottes, it is made of cast iron and coated on the inside with black enamel, which not only improves its cooking properties but also makes it easier to handle. The material distributes the heat evenly and thus keeps the energy requirement very low. If the dish is then served in the cocotte, it stays hot for a particularly long time. Be inspired by the color and give your roast chicken an extravagant touch by adding some sliced truffle under the skin before the roast goes into the oven. Hand wash recommended.
