Whether desert use, jungle training camps or use in swampy terrain, the SPEED ASSAULT 2 GTX in the color Black feels at home in all situations with its weight of only 330 grams. The new and revised version of this speed machine focuses on an optimized fit in the upper foot area and the design aspect.

The shoe's low weight is achieved through technologies that are used in Salomon's trail running shoes, with a focus on performance, robustness, flexibility and agility. The material mix of the upper consists of ripstop fabric, anti-distress mesh and TPU materials. The GORE-TEX® membrane underneath makes the shoe an ideal companion in any weather. The welded SensiFitTM system encloses the foot from the midsole to the Quicklace™ quick lacing system and ensures a secure, precise and almost individual fit.

The EnergyCell material ensures optimum cushioning and performance in the sole construction. The compressed EVA cushioning material offers improved shock absorption in combination with a higher rebound, while the Contagrip® TA outsole with chevron lugs ensures optimal grip on a wide variety of surfaces. An OrthoLite® insole ensures a comfortable fit and additional cushioning in the shoe, while perforations in the sole support a pleasant foot climate.
