THE NEXT LEVEL OF HELMET SAFETY AND VENTILATION.
Maximum safety, advanced aerodynamics and record-breaking ventilation. The Nytron is the aero helmet that offers ultimate protection combined with comfort and versatility. At Rudy Project, we are dedicated to developing products that are designed to provide the highest level of safety and exceed the requirements of international standards such as CE or CPSC standards.
Today, we aim to go even further by exceeding a new experimental testing protocol based on real accident data and scientific sources. The Rudy Project WG11 Rotational Impact Test is a protocol established by Rudy Project in collaboration with accredited and notified bodies to test and measure helmet performance against rotational impact. The Rudy Project WG11 pass/fail criterion is based on the BRIC (Brain Injury Criterion) value, an algorithm that defines the degree of brain injury. This score must be less than 0.68. Several studies have shown that BRIC values for concussions in humans vary from 0.60 when derived directly from animal data to 0.68 when derived directly from college football players. The Nytron achieved a BRIC mean of 0.24, representing a breakthrough in helmet safety.
The Nytron combines superior aerodynamic performance with an amazingly compact and lightweight design. It was designed and engineered in collaboration with Swiss Side's aerodynamics experts, who conducted extensive computer-aided fluid dynamics and wind tunnel testing. The structure of the Nytron features four in-mold EPS liners that ensure maximum protection and shock absorption while making the helmet extremely lei
