The HDAM circuitry developed by Marantz has been further optimized for the CD 60: The components are now symmetrically arranged on the circuit board and a more direct signal path has been created. This has created an improved soundstage compared to previous models to give you the most musical sound possible.

Compared to previous models in this class, the CD 60's power supply features fast high-current Schottky diodes, optimized high-current storage capacitors, and improved voltage regulators. Oversized capacitors in the power supply provide greater current stability as well as lower noise in demanding listening situations.

The CD 60 can play files in MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV formats, FLAC HD, ALAC, AIFF (up to 192 kHz/24 bit) as well as DSD (up to 5.6 MHz) from a connected USB storage medium.
